Company: S. Stibbards & Sons | Funeral Directors
Paul began working for the family business over 30 years ago and helps manage the business alongside his Brother Martin and Sister Sue, as well as their respective partners. The companies’ focal point is providing bespoke, personalised funeral arrangements to the bereaved with an unrivalled level of care and service. The company strives to offer a ‘complete’ service and its range of services include pre-paid funeral plans; monumental masonry and dedicated on-going bereavement support. With 6 modern and well-appointed offices located in the Southend, Castle point and Rochford Council areas, the company provides the very best in care and facilities to those they are called upon to serve.
With over 150 years of experience within the local community, S. Stibbards & Sons are uniquely placed to be able to provide the high level of support and understanding that a family may need when faced with having to arrange the funeral for a loved one. They are proud to be the area’s oldest funeral directors, still owned and managed by direct descendants of its founder, Samuel Stibbards.
The company itself has a rich heritage and links with many organisations and businesses in the local community. They are also keen to support local charities and can often be seen at local events, raising much needed funds for various local charities.
Transparency and accountability are also very important to the family and to this end the company belongs to several trade associations. These associations ask that the company adheres to a recognised code of practice, which sets out the relationship between client and funeral director and ensures that they provide a professional level of service. The most recognizable of these associations is the (N.A.F.D), National Association of Funeral Directors, but we also belong to the (B.I.F.D), British Institute of Funeral Directors, (of which Paul is the Vice-President), S.A.I.F., the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors and the (B.I.E). the British Institute of Embalmers. The membership of these associations means that the company is kept fully informed and up to date with the latest training and regulations and gives our clients peace of mind that they and their loved one will be treated with the utmost respect and dignity.
Paul and his colleagues at Stibbards are always on hand to give help, advice and guidance on any matter relating to bereavement and the sometimes complex and daunting process of arranging a funeral.
