Home – Southend Peers Networking Group

Our charities for 2018/19:

We had an overwhelming number of applications to become our charity of 2018/19 and we thank every single applicant for their nomination.

Whilst we had planned to choose one single charity to support, following the shortlisting process, we decided that we would support the goals of two fantastic local charities:

The Music Man Project UK – who are organising a “Music is Magic” concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 15th April 2019.

Carli Lansley Foundation raising money for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) – whose aim is to hold ECG screenings for young people in Southend each year, with each screening costing £5,000.

 Success-on-Sea: It’s a Risky Business

With the help of our members, find out how to manage the risks your business faces and join us for an informative, interactive evening with cocktails (mocktails), canapes, open networking and fundraising for Southend Hospital.

Registration at 6.00pm; presentations start at 6.30pm.

Hear from our members as to how to minimise your risk in business, including:

Disaster Recovery
Human Resources

Canapés will be available throughout the evening and if you want to take a Risk, why not try one of Southend Peers’ Mocktails or Cocktails specifically created by The Arlington for our members and their guests (at seperate cost).

Once presentations and Q&A’s closed, the event will proceed with open networking so that you can have plenty of opportunity to meet all guests and Southend Peers’ members.

Network, exchange views with like-minded people and share ideas whilst also raising money for a worthy cause (all profits will be donated to Southend Hospital Charity).

Don’t take that Risk, join us so that we can support you in your business today!

Southend Peers and its members look forward to meeting you on the 11th October 2017.

“Later” with Peers

At Southend Peers we believe that you get the best out of business networking if there is a little fun involved!

A number of guests joined us on 6th July to network and hear successful business owners talk about the key to entrepreneurial success: Success-on-Sea – The Key to Entrepreneurial Success.

The event was held on Thursday 6th July from 6pm, at The Beach Hut, Westcliff-on-Sea.

Our guests experienced:

  • A presentation from Martin Stibbards of S. Stibbards & Sons, on how entrepreneurial spirit has kept his family business in operation for 150 years
  • An inspirational talk from Business Action Coach – Lucas Vigilante

And also heard from our hosts at The Beach Hut, and our guest speaker from Southend Hospital Charity – our designated charity for this year.

Southend Peers would like to thank our expert guests and our hosts for the evening:
